Feedback from the February 2024 cohort:

Tracey:
"Personally, I'm not a great groupie when it comes to it, or is that a limiting belief? The answer quite simply is yes! The trepidation of a group event with 11 other therapists, in a different country at the beginning of February seemed like a mad idea. Unexpectedly and delightfully, this old belief was soon intercepted by an efficient itinerary, thought provoking conversations, interesting and intoxicating workshops and visits to 'the three': Adler, Frankl and Freud museums, all topped off with delicious cuisine in the most superior architectured buildings, steeped in history and survival vibes. And as for the group? What an eclectic mix of humans. Friendly, kind, respectful, generous in sharing their thoughts and time and of course, much fun! There's no such thing as coincidence according to the author of the Celestine Prophecy, James Redfield, and I truly believe that. It takes an idea, grow that idea, make a plan, execute it, put it out to the universe and here we are! Tom's tribe came together and connected the manifested dots. Thank you, Tom and to all who participated. A time in your life not to be missed. Right time and most definitely right place."

Natalie:
"Tom had organised everything beautifully so we had plenty of time together as a group as well as free time to do our own thing. Balancing the need for connection and the need for processing time was a theme for me of this trip."

Vivian:
"This was my third visit to Vienna and neither the city nor the visit disappointed. I thought the amount of organisation was reflected in the reception and suitability at the venues and the confidence I felt in our host, Tom. I appreciate the amount of work he put into getting the trip up and running and think the fee charged was certainly a fair one.
It had the right degree of togetherness and apartness for me with space to do our own thing and enjoy the camaraderie of being in the company of people who have something in common - in this case therapists. It meant there was always something to talk about. Tom said that he didn't want to be overprotective of us but I felt psychologically held the whole time.
Everything was good but I suppose the highlight has to be the visit to The Freud Museum. I loved the apartments and wanted to move in. I knew the weekend had made an impression on me when I asked my students if they wanted to hear a bit about the' Vienna three'.
When is the next trip?"

Joanna:
"This trip was absolutely fantastic, and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Tom was so organised as well as extremely personable – I always felt that we were in very safe hands. The networking breakfast, dinner and lunch were all in amazing locations, with great service and delicious food. The lecture and museum visits were incredibly inspiring. I learnt loads but I also came away feeling refreshed and renewed in my approach to counselling. What’s more, the people I met were so special; I feel I have made some long-lasting connections which hold opportunities for more development and learning in the future, as well as fellow friends in the profession."

"The trip to Vienna was so much more wonderful than I ever could have imagined. Tom, considered every eventuality and was able to create a wonderful weekend of learning, connection, fun and personal and professional development within the gorgeous backdrop of Vienna."

Annie:
"Vienna is a beautiful city, with a rich and yet painful history - the weekend taught me a great deal and Tom succeeded in bringing a group of people together to forge connections, enabling us to understand the contribution these three men from Vienna made to the world. Thank you!"

Vauna:
"The weekend in Vienna was wonderful. We enjoyed the most magnificent breakfast at the cafe that Freud used to frequent - the Cafe Landsmann, followed by a private tour of The Freud Museum."
